I have a small request. I read the Cal List message on a daily digest, and I
have to scroll through all the copies of the previous messages in a thread
to get to the next one. I can appreciate that having the prior messages
helps provide context for the response, and that's fine. Even so, you could
often trim away messages that are five or six exchanges older than the
current reply without losing context. And you certainly could get rid of
extraneous matter that does not contribute to the discussion. As a case in
point, I have pasted above some of the content that is being repeated in
every message in the "replace antenna wiring" thread. As you can see, it
does not convey much useful information.
I suspect that I'm not the only one who reads the messages in the daily
digest (if you don't, try it; you might like it), and I expect that all of
us who do would appreciate any efforts to increase the signal to noise ratio
in the List's messages. There's a lot of valuable information here; let's
just make sure it's easy for everyone to find.
Thanks,
Alfred Poor
