one more on tabernacle

Referring to the 2-29 from maybe Ventura, getting a roller furler and not using the tabernacle anymore, this catalina from Santa Cruz has a roller furling jib (no foil) and still tabernacles, has to have a tether to a mid-section to keep it in a soft curve to the side of the bow. Curious about the 2-29, were there any stress marks or damage from that tabernacle? It seems that like Chris said, it's like a telephone pole. We're happy the future owner has for now been talked out of the tabernacle, and into a different harbor. Helen
