This is too good not to pass on..... The Housatonic Boat Club in Stratford CT (established in 1887) is a "hands on" club with members doing almost all the club work. This includes work parties for launch and boat haul out. We hire 2 cranes, with operators and the balance of the crew are all members. Speaks well of the membership and spirit at the club. The haul out event, captured in this time lapse video, occured late October. 11 hours- 41 boats hauled and set for winter storage. 4 of the boats that were hauled were CAL's ((2) 35s, (1) each 29 and 28). It's hard to belive with all the snow and ice we have at present that in less than 3 months, we'll be launching the fleet. Joe Adams who did the video is a steward at HBC and a sophmore at New Haven University majoring in communication. He did a great job. check out this link- well worth the watch http://vimeo.com/16229929 Bob CAL229-#6699

Good stuff and thanks for sharing. This is exactly how it was done back in Ottawa at the Nepean Sailing club. Only difference is the volume of boats over the weekend. If I remember correctly it was around 300 boats. Quite the aerial ballet. Fun stuff. /ch
