But that may be difficult.
I just tried the Internet Archive Wayback Machine at
http://web.archive.org/collections/web.html, but it doesn't seem to be
working at the moment. You might want to try it later to see if it captured
the content at some point.

The issue here Alfred, is that way back machine is good for html content
that is static. ie: coded pages. The site was upgraded last year or the year
before to a dynamic php site with a mysql database. So the pages are
rendered on demand with content changing. The forums is where the real data
is, all those conversations. One reason I dont like forums as there is no
backup, email lists are great for that as there is always backup regardless
of what system you use.
Good idea however...;)

Hay Alfred;
The admin/tech contact for the domain responded that he is no longer
involved with the class and provided two contacts. Those have been
emailed so lets see what comes back. His email address is in Alaska
and they responded that they have not hosted the site in years. The
registration is via godaddy.com so its probably on a godaddy server
somewhere. From what I saw a month ago, it was broken. and you were
getting the mysql error page, now you get the not authorized stuff
which means its really broken as html requests are trying to access
the database directly which of course is not allowed hence the 'not
authorized" page display.
Anyways lets see what the secondary contacts come back with as its
important to a degree as this was the home site for the local 20 class
and fleet.
A simple fix here as most fleet sites are not being maintained is to
put up a central cal20.com site where each fleet has their own sub
section and domain
eg: cal20.com/victoria.
Just centralize the web presence on one server, reduce costs and one
admin for the overall site with sub-admins for each fleet. Its going
to be tricky however to get it all coordinated and then get the DNS
stuff changed. Folks will need to play along.

Chuck responded really fast, which is good. Means he knows what he's
doing. The site should be back up in a few weeks. All is well in Cal
land..:)
