Replacing bulkheads on 27 MK III (3-27)

Hi, I'm new here and looking at two 1980's 27 MK III. One seems clean but the chainplates need to be rebedded and the bulkheads are wet (pegged out above 25% on my moisture meter). (I have not inspected the second one yet.) Since there are three clainplates per side, I'm afraid I'd have to replace all three pieces. (Sorry, I don't recall where the middle one attaches for the forward attaches to a forward bulkhead.) I would like to hear feedback from anyone else who has attempted this repair. Also, I've uploaded to the files area the Cal brochure for the 27 MKIII that I found on S2owners.com/
