Lapworth Salute corrections
Helen Horn2011-03-21 21:16 UTC
The idea Edward is putting out for a Wild Bill Lapworth Salute in addition to
the South Bay Opening Day (SF Bay) is for May 14th, Saturday(not 15th), to have
any and all available Lapworths, Cals, etc join the Parade. There are also
dinners for Friday night and Saturday night at different clubs and breakfast and
the awards luncheon will be at Sequoia Yacht Club. Some of the clubs involved
are Sequoia, Peninsula, San Leandro, Coyote Point, South Bay (Alviso) (which
will be having their famous gin fizz breakfast on Sunday). Are there any
interested participants? he… [at] sbcglobal.net

Where and what time of day? I am interested if I can sail there and be on
time from Sierra Point. I guarantee you I will be the oldest Lapworth
there. I cannot motor a long way though as my engine is as old as the boat
and I don't want to use up its last bit of life too quickly. But I can sail
there as fast as any of you ;-)

Sequoia YC is offering free berthing on Friday evening, if you can come down
on Friday.
Otherwise I am sure there will be plenty of boats to crew on.
