Manuals
Allen Edwards2011-03-23 01:16 UTC
I just added a collection of almost 200 manuals to what I already had
bringing the total to well over 200. If you need a manual for something on
your boat, there is a chance it is in this collection.
http://l-36.com/manuals.php Unfortunately, it is not organized as most
people find this stuff through Google anyway. Sorry about that. The other
manuals are on the Technical Reference page.

to parrot others, Thank you, Allen. Amazing resource you have created.
I attempted to access several manuals and had trouble. Any preferred format?

Please be specific. I have not tested them all but the ones I tested
worked. Which manuals and what kind of trouble?
Note that some of them are large and can take several minutes to load with a
high speed connection. I will add some notes to that effect so if you look
at the page in a bit, you will see that. You will get a gray blank and the
browser will look like it is done but a minute or two later the manual pops
up.
They will show up in a browser window as a web page with a pdf viewer
imbedded, or a gif, or jpg, or html, or ... whatever format the manual is
in.
They do not work on my MythTV Linux box because I don't have the pdf viewer
installed so perhaps that is your problem.

OK, me bad. Some of the files were missing. I will need to work on this
later.
For now I have changed the list to include only files that I actually have
:-)
I have also listed the file size.

The manuals section is cleaned up as far as I can tell. I have not tried
all 200 but I have replaced the ones that were missing and listed file size
and estimated download time. I sincerely apologize for the errors before.
http://l-36.com/manuals.php
And as I said, there are many manuals in this section as well. Some are
probably duplicates.

I can open the files, but at the end of the download, I can only see the top half of the first page and cannot figure out how to see the rest.

Hi Reggie,
Thanks for letting me know. I have tried it with IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
With Chrome, my browser of choice, there is a scroll bar and it is easy to
see what to do. There are other features that I see are missing with the
other two browsers like the ability to resize the page. With IE and Firefox
you just click on the pdf and then the Page Up, Page Down, and my mouse
scroll wheel all work. The page clearly works best with Chrome.
http://www.google.com/chrome/ I recommend it and not just because my son
works on the chrome team at Google :-)
What browser are you using? I will see if there is anything I can do on
this end to make it easier now that you have made me aware of the issue.
