The engine seems to be seized up. I can not get it to turn over wwith a wrench on the front pulley even with the injectors removed. If you are out there Joe Demeres maybe you could advise whether to fix the old motor or upgrade to a engine that will adapt onto the existing transmission. I am eager to hear of anybodies advice as well. I am currently in the Cayman islands where things can be a bit difficult to get fixed. Thanks in advance for your replies. Mike Gavel "Jenemiah"

Thanks for the reply Marc. You have given me some encouragement. I will check some more into the state of my engine before I give up on it. It has been a very good engine. --- In Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com, mgottlieb01@... wrote: > > Mike if I can get this mess going on a Westerbeek 28 HP you can too.  Go for the fix. > > > > Marc Gottlieb > 1971 Cal 2 30  "Lady Joy II" > Tel: 706.294.4344 > E-mail:  mgottlieb01@... > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "mike.gavel" mike_gavel@... > To: "Cal Boats" Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com > Sent: Thursday, March 24, 2011 7:21:22 PM > Subject: [Cal_Boats] Sick Westerbeke 30 > >  > > > > > Hello All > the engine in my 1976 Cal 34 has finally given up I think.
