Yeah Chris a friend of mine has a Mirage 33 designed by Bob Perry and via email has become good friends with him and was even invited to his son's wedding before he died.
Anyway once the drawings leave His hands he basically has no control over the construction of the boat. Bob said that a number of things on the Mirage were changed by the builder for various reasons so its reasonable to expect that your boat is different than the drawings.

Thanks Paul.
Its interesting, if you look at the drawings of the 2-29 (now in the
group photo section) the engine bed is completely different then what
is found in my boat, or the detailed explanation provided by Wilkie.
So depending on the engine option, A-4 or diesel, at the time of
order, the builders chose not to follow the drawings, other then for
the 3-29 A-4 option (this has an integrated pan, so its all very nice
and clean, with overflow flowing directly to the bildge) Makes for a
very clean engine room provided you dont have an external bearing leak
that spews oil all over the place..:)

The 8 degree value for the max angle is incorrect for the Beta.
The manual says it can be installed up to 15 degrees (pitch) and will run up to
25 degrees (roll).

This might help.
http://l-36.com/read_pdf.php?file=Beta1640&title=Beta_BD1005_BV1305_BV105_Manual
<http://l-36.com/read_pdf.php?file=Beta1640&title=Beta_BD1005_BV1305_BV105_Manual>A
quick look at the install instructions didn't show a number I could find but
the picture of the typical install looks more like 30 degrees.

Chris, James here. Off topic....can you email me a copy of the 2-19 schematic you have posted in the photo section? I'm Cad'ing up new drawings which I'll be happy to post and I'm looking for sharp originals to use as a base.
