Alternator Wiring

I'm slowly going through the engine and the alternator replacement is the current project. It's a 2-29 with a Farymann...original engine panel....has anybody replaced the original motorola 35 amp and if so, where did the leads go? I ended up with new positive to the house battery positive...negative to the engine ground and there I sit wondering about the other items... Anybody have a schematic of the wiring for this type of improvement? Thanks, James

The other two are AC output to the tach DC input to the internal regulator. This line is on the on side of the key switch and can be tested accordingly. For peace of mind you can always ohm out the other wire. Connects to the back of the tach. Hope this helps. Here's a diagram of my old Farymann setup. I've re-powered since then, but this is what it looked like a few years ago. the blue wire goes from the alternator to the external regulator, then a wire goes from there to the ignition switch, in my case it was brown. You can click view "large" to see a little better.
