Another Cal 31 question!

Yet another Cal 31 question: does anybody know wire size of the life lines? I had a fitting break and want to repair with a Suncor swage-less eye, but not absolutely sure of the wire size. You can get a $10 caliper at Home Depot that will read out to 1/128 of in inch. For under $25 you can get a dial caliper that reads out to .001 inches. I have 3 calipers on Papoose. I replaced mine with 3/16 uncoated 1x19 wire. I did put some cover on the part that the mainsheet rubs on. West marine about $3 a section stuff. I really like the uncoated. Got it from Rigging only. But that isn't what you asked is it? My friend used 5/16 Amsteel for his upper and 1/4 inch for his lower and is happy with it.
