sailing circus coming to Port Townsend

For Cal boaters in Puget Sound area I have made arrangements to have the circumnavigating French family that you likely read about in Lat 38 perform in Port Townsend. After that they head to San Francisco to continue their trip around the world. We will be staying in Point Hudson so come on up that weekend and we'll have a Cal get together as well. We will be below Brion Toss' rigging shop. If you don't want to stay in the marina, Marrowstone Island across the bay has some good anchorages and buoys just be careful winding your way in. I watched their act in Victoria BC - at the Swiftsure Race. Quite good and funny. I was particularly impressed when the gal free climbed up the boom topping lift line to the mast top. Bob, I will certainly try to attend that one. The show sounds interesting, and it's a great excuse for a get together. Port Townsend's a pretty good pull from Tacoma and I haven't looked at the tides yet, but it seems doable. Let's see if we can gin up some enthusiasm amongst the Puget Sound Cal owners. Hope you engine install is complete and went well. Hey Bob, I've made reservations at Pt Hudson for Friday and Saturday nights. Even the elusive Mrs. Haas has deigned to make an appearance. My question is, "Do I, and if so. How do I make reservations for the circus?" I'd hate to put in the 57 miles from Tacoma and then be shut out of the main event. I plan to roll out of TYC on Thursday and make for Pt. Madison, or possibly Manzanita. That should put me into Pt. Hudson midday on Friday. There is virtually no current to deal with that weekend. Mrs. will drive up and spend a night or two with me on the boat. Because of my reservations I will need to be sailing from noon until later on Saturday, and would be delighted to have other Cals either sailing along with me, or join me on Nemesis for a "3 hour cruise." I see this as a great opportunity for us to have a low key lash-up. Pt. Townsend is a very cool spot, which provides a great deal of distraction to the non-Cal obsessed among us. Let's get the word out and make this an event not to be missed. I'll even show off my new- ish A sail!
