Check this one out:

Not inexpensive, but looks like a good choice.

Cal Cabinetry Hinges

All,
I'm looking for a source for replacing the hinges on Magic. I think someone here on the list referred to them as "knife hinges". I found a source 3-4 years ago that were almost identical to the OEM parts, but they were ferrous metal. I bought one set as a test. They fit well, but have now disintegrated (as expected).
Has anyone here found a suitable brass or stainless steel replacement???
Other recommendations are appreciated.
Thanks!

Piano hinges not knife hinges. Some big box stores (home depot and lowes) carry
stainless and brass or try WOODCRAFT they carry up to 3 or 4 foot lengths.

Michael, you could Google McMaster-Carr and type "hinges" into Find box. Multiple materials. Many, many shapes and sizes.

I just installed a plastimo navigator. Not cheap, but a great compass and you can read it from the cockpit or cabin too.

Michael,
I have the plastimo mini contest (it might be the contest which is a little
larger) I have had it since 1988 with no problems and since I use a cover
when It is not in use the plastic is still clear. I am in fresh water. I
also have a KVH sailcomp which works great as long as you have electricity
left in your battery.

I installed a Plastimo Contest 100 on my Cal9.2. It required a little
extra notch on the bottom to allow the deviation magnet box to fit.
Still in good shape with over 8 yrs on it.
The down side, they do not make it any more, but you might find on on
fleebay etc....
Much nicer than the SUNNTO that I removed from it, craizing of the
clear dome etc.....
