Around here the PHRF committee is made up of sail makers. They insist that ratings be based on new sails. I wonder why? Seriously Allen? I hope you're kidding LOL. But lets say we went down that road then, if not new, what age should the sails be and do you need a receipt and a notarized statement that they've been used 10 times a year since purchasing? While we're at it, how many weeks/months growth should the bottom have on it? Around here the PHRF guys are not sail makers for what its worth. Paul

The ncphrf rules specifically say they assume. new sails, clean bottom, well maintained boat because they want to encourage an ever improving fleet. And one of the committee members is Kami.
