show and tell - woodwork - the backwards 21st century way

I thought I'd show off some work I did over the weekend. I machined teak riser blocks and stainless backing plates for the winch and stopper bank. I realize that the teak wood work is a little bit backwards..... These could have been made much easier and more quickly had I had woodworking tools. I don't. I have a cnc mill, so I ran a bunch of passes on the blocks with a small stepover to achieve the desired shape. And now that I see how easy it was, and knowing that a fluid organic shape would be just as easy to machine as something so geometric, I'm going to come up with something a bit more 'artsy'. If it wasn't so cliche a mermaid on the bow would be next.
