We could be on an entirely different planet than home. Actually, Mars! Mars bay of Rock Creek. Off the Patabsco River, Baltimore, Md. We headed here because it was close, and because some weather is moving in from the South, so this was a logical choice as a protected anchorage. We reinstalled the wind generator and had a nice quiet evening at anchor. A couple cold beers, Yeungling, a little dinner, a couple glasses of wine, a passing cruiser saying –boy, are you a long ways from home. The transom shows our home port as Lakeside, MT. We cruised the committee boat of the Maryland Yacht Club. They were holding a Tartans only race. He asked what our boat is, Told him. He asked what year it was built. Told him. He could not believe it, We were flattered. It shows well from a distance! We spent a little time laying out the possibilities for stops in the Chesapeake and will come up with a plan tomorrow. Weather says cooler and rainy for a couple days. That will be a real change from the sweating of the past few days. Barbara was a little under the weather today but seems OK now. I blame it on a shortage of CRABCAKES!
