Now you started it! Over the past 12 years, we have used just about everything. Cetol, varnish, Bristol finish, and a few years just natural weathered teak. We have used semco the last few years and are well satisfied with the finish. If you look on their website, they have a variety of stain colors. I think the one "preferred by boaters" is a little too yellow.
