It hurts when you haul and then the weather turns nice, but that hasn't happened up here. In a month or so, we'll get those Xmas card samples, the ones that show a pretty sailboat sitting in a calm harbor at dusk, cabin lights on, snow on deck, wreath decorating the boat. I think, "wish I could sit on my boat like that." But reality is that it would be too cold to sail and too dangerous with snow on deck. The oil lamp would be giving off moisture that would be condensing on the overhead and dripping down my neck. Or, the wind would be blowing 30 knots and the boat would be hunting on the mooring and it would be cold and nasty. I haven't even been able to fold my sails yet--too much rain. Chris Campbell

Mike, Great to hear from you! Air temp was actually 98, we have had a cooling trend the last week and they say we have seen the last of triple digits for the year. I too would prefer the right temp but, when cabin temp is 146 (as it was in Aug) and 119 outside, it was GREAT to have the AC Yep, water was 86 but I can't sail well while dragging through the water So, now its 92 and water temp is 80 so I'm heading to the lake for some perfect weather, light air sailing!
