Did you check Torresen Marine? http://shop.torresen.com/marine_diesel_direct/Westerbeke/ --- On Tue, 12/6/11, dasiel <di… [at] hotmail.com> wrote: From: dasiel <di… [at] hotmail.com> Subject: [Cal_Boats] Westerbeke w30 Glow plugs To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Date: Tuesday, December 6, 2011, 3:32 AM Hi I have a Cal 34III with a Westerbeke w30 and I need to replace the glow plugs. I have the same engine and concern. I wrote Westerbeke directly and this was their reply": "Hello Danny, The W30 was last produced in 1981. The base engine used for that model went out of production about the same time. This was the British Leyland 1.5 litre diesel. Internal parts for the engine are becoming difficult to find as many are now no longer produced by British Leyland. The Westerbeke Distributor in Portland "Cook Engine Company" tel. (503) 289-8466 can check the availability of engine parts for you and advise you. To the best of my knowledge the engine was used to power many British taxi cabs. I do not know if it was used in tractors or the like, but I would presume it most likely was. Kind Regards, Westerbeke Corp." Footnote: The aforementioend Cook Engine Company disavows any ability to get pats for our engines. Might be time to talk with Joe. I had a 1977 Cal 34 III with same engine. I was having problems with glow plugs as well. However before I replaced them I checked the wiring... One of the wires had come apart at a splice so no power was getting to the plugs. Respliced and all worked great. I would check the power supply to the glow plugs if you have not done so already.
