December sailing
James2011-12-21 06:48
Wow, what a day! Sunny, 10 knot NW winds which increased to 20-25 knots later and had me fully reefed/furled. This is life on the West Coast of Canada! I did a little video with some running commentary in it at http://youtu.be/vQFL76T47js
I was thinking of selling my boat next year--now I'm not too sure. Moorage has almost doubled here so it's getting harder to justify the expense...
Anyone else have any fun December sailing adventures??

That old flat-top sure looks like she's having a good time. Beautiful day.

Great! Now all I can think about is sailing and my boat 15 minutes away from work patiently floating in her slip. Today's work production is shot.

No adventures yet--it's still too warm. I've varnished the iceboat
mast, putting the last coat on today. No snow, no ice. But now I'll be
ready.
Thanks for your video--I'm jealous! You were kind enough not to give a
temperature, so we can think about a warm summer romp.

There is still a sailboat in my marina on Oneida Lake! He might be able
to get a New Years Day sail in.
