dehumidifiers?

Is anyone using one of the new batch of compressor less dehumidifiers on a boat? This one<http://www.amazon.com/Eva-Dry-Petite-Dehumidifier/dp/B0041PFGLS/ref=sr_1_8?s=appliances&ie=UTF8&qid=1330232003&sr=1-8>costs $50 and they say removes about 8 oz of water a day. Just wondered if that is enough and if it would hold up in a marine environment. Anyone tried one like it? Allen
