Reggie - I put the word out to a friend of mine who is coming up the ICW to see what he knows. They just arrived at the Charleston Maritime Center. And where can we get a "low country boil" in Georgetown or elsewhere? thanks for the suggeations, Ray. Anybody else have suggeations for Georgetown or farther south for things to do, places to go, things to see, and local quisine to taste? Reggie

Reggie, Charleston is a classic place. Stayed at the Ashley Marina several times. I fear that has succumbed to development. The area near Mt. Pleasant on Shem Creek is really funky and has some good eateries. If you get as far south as St. Augustine, there is a neat boaters consignment shop called Sailors Exchange. Good stuff. About a mile in on King Street from the 1A1 bridge at the waterfront. Some good restaurants along the water. I’m trying to think of some good places for you to run aground. Charleston harbor has potential at the split for Ashley River.. Anybody ever been up Bohicket Creek to the Bohicket Marina south of Charleston? Years ago it was a homey place. Might have been flooded and rebuilt in one of the hurricanes. Travel Well Hi, Barbara! Is it true what I heard...87 degrees and sunny in the Mid Atlantic/Chesapeake area? We had our summer weather last weekend and we've got a winter storm bearing down on us for the weekend, gale force winds and rain. Well, gale force if you're in the Santa Barbara Channel or well off shore west of of Pt. Dume.
