As citizens of the USA and boat owners who are currently, or will be in the future using boating and land side facilities, we demand you halt these alterations to our Marina del Rey, a Public Recreational Boating Park, which will further adversely impact the usefulness of this land for boating and recreational purposes. We strongly feel these changes are being perpetrated by illegal and fraudulent propaganda, and failing to notify the public adequately, by selfish, for profit financial interests who do not have the public's best interests in mind. We ask that you specifically refer to the written intent of the Act of Congress 389, Second Session, 1954, and compare it to the fraudulent, publicly unapproved plan by which the Public was deprived of the water and land park they were promised and paid for, and see how this new work further deprives the public of boating and coastal access, by reducing small boat slips, land-side access, mast up storage, trailer parking, Boater meeting facilities, etc. Please stop the fleecing of our waterways in the name of developers profits. I just sent the paragraph to _h… [at] usace.army.mil_ (mailto:hq… [at] usace.army.mil) Daniel Casey "AirTime" Cal 9.2R #75 Santa Barbara, Ca.

I modified it a bit and sent the following to the same email address I request that you halt these alterations to Marina del Rey, a Public Recreational Boating Park. These alterations will adversely impact the usefulness of this land for boating and recreational purposes. They are in conflict with Act of Congress 389, Second Session, 1954 and were done without following proper procedures and are therefore illegal. They will deprives the public of boating and coastal access, by reducing small boat slips, land-side access, mast up storage, trailer parking, boater meeting facilities, etc. Please stop this project which serves the interest of a few private individuals over the public interest.
