Openning on Deck of Cal 30

Along the port side of my Cal 30 (towards the aft) there is an opening for filling up either the fuel or water tank. The cap was missing when I bought the boat. Like a dummy, I never bothered to replace the cap. So when I hose down the port side of the deck water goes down that opening and into either the fuel or water tank. Incidently, neither tank is being used (have outboard).
Is that for filling water tank, or fuel? Where can get a cap to replace it?
Thanks

try going to west marine and buying a fillcap or two with permission to return if they don't fit. Since the hole is there already, (with threaded deck pipe?) that should be your first mission, secondly, try to replace with another fill mount
that fits the hole. a new owner may not want a patch on that nonskid, and may want the tanks to function. also, drain the tanks, lest they rust out.(may already have. surely you don't want water sloshing around anyway. That is most likely your gas tank, as it was on ours. Helen
