Paul, We will find out our finish position on Saturday during the awards party at the Miami Yacht Club. A lot of boats DNS'd, some DNF'd. We had seven boats in our class, but I only saw two others finish, and they both have lower ratings and came in behind us. This race does not use class flags, so right now I really have no idea. Last year we took first place in our class. I hope that we were able to defend our place this year. We don't have an anemometer on Magic, so this is only speculation and second hand information from other boats.... I was told that winds rarely went below 25 apparent, with gusts near 40 kts. Fortunately, we were on Biscayne Bay and into the southern sounds south behind islands that prevent fetch. We flew our 110 and reefed/unreefed the main four or five times.
