A replacement cap should be available from the maker of the deck fill fitting. However.....if that deck fill was original to the boat..... the make may not be around anymore, or may not produce the fitting anymore. I'd start by trying to find the maker of the fitting (should be marked on fitting?), then if that ends up being a dead end, try marine consignment/surplus shops. Best thing would be the remove the fitting and glass over the hole. In the meantime, get a cork and plug the opening, If that is the fuel fill, and there is any residue in the tank, it will eventually float up and out of the fitting if you accidently end up filling the tank, also, if the tank is metal.... that water may lead to corrosion of the tank and then the mess will be in the bilge. The cap was missing when I bought the boat. Like a dummy, I never bothered to replace the cap. So when I hose down the port side of the deck water goes down that opening and into either the fuel or water tank. Incidently, neither tank is being used (have outboard). Is that for filling water tank, or fuel? Where can get a cap to replace it? Thanks Get Free Email with Video Mail & Video Chat! http://www.juno.com/freeemail?refcd=JUTAGOUT1FREM0210

The lens on one of my opening ports has a broken hinge and needs to be replaced. Anyone know what kind of port it is and/or where I might find a replacement? Photo attached. David

Looks like the original like we are removing from our 36, which are bigger and have 3 hinges not 2. Ours are size 1's if you were buying lewmars, yours might be size 0. Other brands use different size labels. Try measuring the glass size, then the exterior outer edge of the frame. Then go on Google, then look at the right dimensions as you look. also amazon. there are various ones for sale all over the country. be sure to check the shape carefully. As for ours, they are so brittle (1967) that only 3 of 6 still have all the hinges intact, let alone the dogs that lock them.we are going to aluminum frames now. David:this looks like a Beckson port. Had two on my 29 and there are two on my current T34c. They sell all of the replacement parts. They are very helpful when you call. You have had several guesses on the replacement windows. Perhaps this is the Grey Port available from Pompanette company. Very similar to the one used on the later 87 version as my Cal 33. The new ports have incorporated a "rain drain" feature that may require additional cutout for the cabin. http://www.pompanette.com/pompweb.nsf/731d6514ff5a8481852567be000745b2/0b6a3 7db4eafbf05852567c400837f28?OpenDocument happy shopping John From: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com [mailto:Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of David Field Sent: Tuesday, April 17, 2012 12:16 PM To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Subject: [Cal_Boats] Replacement Port for Cal 27 Mark III (1983) [1 Attachment] [Attachment(s) from David Field included below] The lens on one of my opening ports has a broken hinge and needs to be replaced. I looked at the picture of the port you need . It comes from Beckson Marine. I was at their Store yesterday. Normally closed on Friday but one of their employees took care of me. http://beckson.com/ You can purchase from West Marine or Defender. Possibly direct. I happen to live in their neighborhood. Thanks Bert and John. I've confirmed that they are Beckson Ports and am replacing them. My hatch cover is split and my next move is to see if that, too, isn't a Beckson product. I'm thinking if Cal used Beckson Ports on the boat, they might also have used their hatch covers on the Cal 27 Mark III.
