Masthead Clearance

Hello everybody. I am a new owner of a 1975 Cal 2-27 and fairly new to sailing in general. I live in Jacksonville, Florida so if there are any of you who reside in the area, I would be interested in meeting you. I hope you all don't mind if I ask questions of the group every so often. Does anybody have the masthead clearance of a Cal 2-27? Does anybody have an owners manual for the Cal 2-27? Thanks, Bruce

Bruce, I have hull #627, 1979. When I bought her in December of 2003, she was destined for salvage. Just about everything that can be done to her has been done since then. The rig is 36 ft off the deck, but I'm not sure what that makes the masthead off the water. I'll be happy to share my experiences and projects with you. Just ask. Hi Bruce, I have Cal2-27 #650 one of the last ones built. As far as I know there is no manual, at least I haven't seen one. The mast height is 39'9" plus antennas etc. You'll enjoy the boat, she'll take a strong wind in stride but loves light air.
