Re: [Cal_Boats] PHRF Ratings (Allen or anyone on SF Bay)
Thanks Raffaele -
Looks like we are roughly the same once equipment is factored in.

the Tartan 10 is rated at 126 and you can check the rating for Cals.

Allen, et al-
We beat a very well sailed Tartan 10 by 8 seconds last night in 15-25kts
on the water and we are both rated 126 out here in the light air Chesapeake.
I know you race against a Tartan 10 on a regular basis and just wondered
what his rating is on the Bay and what our rating would be out there. I
don't know what kind of PHRF data you have available to you but we have the
short mast, shoal draft, 3 blade fixed prop, no furler and max headsail of
155.
I ask because a friend of mine with a Bristol 40 said his rating is 41
seconds faster out there due to the heavy winds. Out here we both suffer in
anything less than 10kts.
Thanks -
