Correction. One More Time Regatta is next Saturday. DRYC is one of the sponsors. I think it is the "Wooden Hull Yacht Club" that runs it. I'll be trying to cop a ride on one of the boats, and see how we do. Had a drag race to the finish tonight in the DRYC Sundown Race, leading a hard charging Hunter 33 Canuck V neck and neck from the breakwater on, side by side at the last center channel buoy, or, bow by bow, then stern to bow for the last mile down the Main Channel. Basically Eric and I lee bowed him, blocked his wind as far as we could, or out trimmed him by holding onto all the sheets by hand and keeping the tell tails flying as passed basins and buildings that constantly altered the wind direction from 15 degrees apparent to 110 degrees apparent. It's something that would be hard to do for one person in a much larger boat. It wasn't evident we'd succeed at it until the last two boat lengths before the finish. Lots of adrenaline! We surprised ourselves with a second place overall behind Yassoo, our friends on a Cal 34, who lead from start to finish.
