Cal 34 mark iii mainsheet system

Danny2012-07-29 15:31
I have a 1977 Cal Mark III. The marina where I bought the boat decided to strip it down, (well before I bought the boat). I am loking for picks of the cabintop mainsheet travler sytems. They took the mainsheet, sails, (Brand New from what the Previos owners wife said) anchors, interior coushions, fresh water pumps, They just pirated all they could. Even the windgenerator and head unit on auto pilot. Well anyway, I need diagram of cabintop mainshett sytem so I can at least get this stable.

My 1977 Cal 34 III has the mainsheet on the bridge deck in the forward part of the cockpit. If yous the same, I can help. Mine is on the cabin top forward of the sliding hatch, or maybe above the middle of the sea hood. I can handle all the help and pictures I can get. Do you have pictures of your boat? Carl, Where is the bridge deck? Does me Cal 24 have one? If not, how can I get one? If I don't have a pilot house, will the cockpit behind the dog house do? I'm thinking of going to the junkyard to look for a mid-fifties wrap-around windshield to place on the aft end of my dog house. Confused brown shoe Navy sailor wants to know. Jerry, The bridge deck is the high place at the forward end of the cockpit that you have to step over to go below. Wikipedia (b) says: Bridge deck: (a) The deck area including the helm and navigation station, and where the Officer of the Deck/Watch will be found, also known as the conn (b) An athwartships structure at the forward end of the cockpit with a deck, often somewhat lower than the primary deck, to prevent a pooping wave from entering through the companionway. May also refer to the deck of a bridge. Don't know if the 24 has one or not. Check on E-Bay, they have everything.
