Danny:
I too own a Cal 34-Mk lll. My traveler was on the deck bridge (the raised
entrance to the companionway) and was moved to the cabin top. I will grab a
picture for you next weekend. It made access to the companionway easier but
I sometimes wonder about the sacrifice of sail control. I will leave it
there.
Now as to the name: Danny. There are now three Dannys here in the group.
How to distinguish? I am a Welshman from Portland. And ewe???

Yep, that is what the Animal House has. It was on the bridge step then moved above the seahood. Has 2 bails and three small contact points under boom.
I appreciate it.
This boat is new to me and was stripped, but I only paid 500 dollars and needs a few things.
I will still be looking for a Paragon tranny and other stuff.
I am Danny Covington, Drcov or Danny Ray, Good old Mississippi boy of strong English Quaker stock. Family came here when Jamestown was settled and then moved to the East Shore of Maryland when Virgina had it's share of Quakers.
I live in Charleston, SC so I could be Geechie Dan.

Danny: I'll save you some time: the paragon transmission that we have is discontinued and a rare beast. We have a Beta Marine reseller, Joe, in the group that MAY have parts. You may need him fo ra repower someday soon. http://www.soundmarinediesel.com/contact.html
I sent mine to Marine transmission Florida for a rebuild and they still had a couple old ones on the shelf. 800/462-8848, ask for Larry. If he hasn't retiered, he knows our transmission inside out.
Sadly, no one in Amercia seemed to have anything left for them. And there seems to be no alternative for the W-30 when it comes to a trannie.
Best of luck,
Dan
