GoPro camera saved us from a potentially costly repair

The other day, Chris was messing around with our GoPro camera and in mad-scientist fashion, devised a mount for the camera at the end of an old boat hook pole so he could stick it underwater to see how our bottom looked. What we saw when we popped the card into the laptop and hit play completely took us by surprise! Our prop was completely tangled in a heap of old nylon rope (from a crab pot?) and a mess of other twine/roots, etc. Even more surprising than that was what made its home on top of all this mess.
