Paul and Melody, here are the dimensions I got. Definite variations for the cruiser. Wow, a mylar main. You’d be the envy of the mooring field. I'll have to pull them out, but I believe they are in much better condition than those below. I can provide pictures if you like and will get exact measurements as well. I don't know which flavor CAL 35 you have (regular or C). However, assuming a C, and given where you are, I looked up Bacon's in Annapolis and came up with the following: Catalog Number: 210-NALR-206 Luff: 35' 0" Leach: 37' 6" Foot: 13' 0" Head: 0' 0" Price: $483.00 #9. MAIN 6.5 oz DACRON BY WINTERS. 3/8" ROUND NYLONS SLUGS WEBBED TO GROMMETS ON COVERED ROPE LUFF. 5/16" COVERED ROPE FOOT. LEECH LINE. CUNNINGHAM CRINGLE REEFS UP 4/ 6" & 8' 9". TAKES FOUR FULL BATTENS (ORIGINALLY STANDARD BATTENS) - NOT INCLUDED. PEEL OFF NUMBERS & "S 2 9.1" INSIGNIA. NEEDS SEVERAL REINFORCING PATCHES ON LUFF (NEAR BATTEN POCKETS AREAS).MODERATE STAIN/SOIL. GOOD+.30 lbs. Bacon Sails & Marine Supply 410-263-4880 Catalog Number: 227-SCAD-102 Luff: 36' 2" Leach: 38' 6" Foot: 13' 0" Head: 0' 0" Price: $199.00 MAIN 7.0 oz DACRON BY HAARSTICK. 7/8" EXTERNAL TRACT SLIDES SHACKLED TO GROMMETS ON TAPED LUFF & FOOT. LEECH LINE. CUNNINGHAM CRINGLE. REEFS UP 3' 7" & 8'. TAKES FOUR STANDARD BATTENS - INCLUDED. SEWN ON NUMBERS & "IRWIN 38" INSIGNIA. MODERATE STAIN/SOIL. SEVERAL SEWN ON PATCHES UP TO 5" x 8". MAY NEED SEVERAL PEEL OFF PATCHES & MINOR RE-STITCHING. FAIR/POOR. ORANGE BAG. 36 lbs. Definitely look like temporary solutions (and possible embarrassments on the water), but then… Attachment could be an issue (among other things). I can do some scouting for you if needed. Melody, I replaced the main on our 1984 Cal 35 MkII in 2005 with the following dimensions: P = 40.0 feet E = 12.5 feet Measured maximum luff = 40' 10 ". Sail attachment: boom - webbed on #6 slide; mast - webbed on #8 slide. I've got all the other dimensions that the sailmaker (Hood) asked for. Tim Odom In a message dated 8/14/2012 7:18:53 A.M. I have the mains off of our old CS 30 that had a really tall mast for it's length . . . it was 45' off the water so the hoist was probably 36ish and I think had a 12' foot. We have a mylar blend and a dacron. Wow - thank you to everyone for your information and contributions! Charlie, Chris has been to Bacon and I know there were some decent used ones there, but I don't know the specifics of what he looked at. Tim, thank you for the dimensions! Good to know. I know Chris has our measurements somewhere, but he's out of town and I can't seem to find them, so that helps. Les, we've heard some awesome things about Mead Breeze! (Plus I just love that name). We've already contracted a new sail from another sailmaker, but the new sail isn't in our budget just yet, so we were hoping to buy some time through the fall with a decent used one. Paul - if you could just email me and let me know what you're asking price would be as well as the year of the sail and any other information as to the condition, that would be great. me… [at] gmail.com Thank you again, everyone.
