Cal (29) table bracket?
Greg Beron2012-10-21 00:06 UTC
I just bought a 1969 Cal 29 and it's a bit of a project. One thing that needs to be replaced is the bracket that fits on the underside of the table and serves as the fitting for the table leg. A photo is attached. There's no manufacturer's identification and I don't know if it's a standard piece. If it helps, the leg diameter is 3.5 inches, tapering to 3-7/16" at the top and bottom.
Does anyone recognize it? Do you know where I can find a replacement?

You might use brass 3 inch pips and replace the broken piece shown in the
photo with a floor flange. It is 3.5 inches and you might have to turn it
down to 3-7/16 to fit the base at the bottom if I am picturing this
correctly.
I use pipe for the legs and floor flanges screwed to the underside of the
table. The pipe slides into the ID of the remaining pieces that were
frozen into the fittings under the floor boards. I cut them off flush and
found pipe that had an OD to match.
