Classic is shaped similar to other plough anchors, like Delta and CQR, while Extra is designed more like new generation anchors, similar to Wasi or Spade. Although standalone Extra anchor did perform better than Classic during trials, especially in soft substrates, we could not proove significant difference when used in tandem. Would be interesting to see what people say after some experience with it. There are people that say tandem anchoring is a poor backup to not having a big enough anchor in the first place.
