Chris drill a 1/2 inch hole in the lower, aft edge of the keel. A whole can be repaired. Once the keel freezes and "bulges" its really never completely fixable. I drill a whole in rhe same spot at each haul out. Insurance against freezing

Good idea. I poked around to see if there were a garboard plug and
found none. How deep is the keel sump on a Cal 25? In other words, how
far down do I drill?
