Re: [Cal_Boats] Mystery Boat [1 Attachment]
Definitely a TANZER, I'd guess a Tanzer 26. (although the TANZER 7.5 is
other possibility, but I'd be 99.9% certain about my Tanzer 26 answer!) I
think the 7.5 was originally called the Tanzer 25 when introduced, but a
later model is shown on Sailboatdata.com under the T25 name.
The Tanzers of that era all had modified raised decks and sure do look
like "cousins" to the CALs, but of course they didn't have that trademark
"swoosh" to the sheer-stripe at the bow that the CALs had. One exception
to that would be the TANZER 27 introduced around 1983, which was
previously built as the AMF Paceship 26.

Ive attached a photo of a boat I spotted last weekend in Carolina Beach,
NC. At first, I thought it might be a Cal with an owner-built doghouse
(igloo?), based on the flat deck and broad sheer stripe. But the lack of
port lights and the stern-mounted rudder makes me think its something
else. Anybody know what type of boat this is?
