Cal 29 - How does the sink work?

We're trying to get water to come out of Happy Hour's galley sink. After partially filling the tank under the v-berth, I spent some time pumping the handle, with no result. What am I missing?

I believe the faucet has a packing gland at the base of the pump handle, it may be loose or sucking air because the washer gets dried out. Faucet grease may work to lubricate and restore suction. Additionally, there may be a ball check valve in the faucet that is stuck and not closing. If that is the case the water that you are attempting to pump may be running back into the tank. Mark A.
