Jim, The later Cal39's, 1977+, have plastic frames for both the fixed and opening ports. Cal 40 may have comparable ports. For the 1977+ Cal 39 models the large fixed ports can be had from Mark Plastics in Corona Cal. I replaced mine 4 years ago. I replaced the 4 x 14 opening ports 20 years ago with Pompanette/Bomar direct replacements - these are no longer available. You can get 4 x 14 stainless steel opening ports from Newfound Metals, Port Townsend, Wash. Hi I have looked into it for my early Cal 30. If you have the funds you can get new ones made that look verry much the same by a compony in Vancover Wa. I do not remember the name right off. I found it with a google search. Mark Heacox at Mark Plastics (951-735-7705) does plastic and aluminum frames with acrylic or tempered glass for a variety of boats and a variety of Cal boats; and he original templates for most. A set of smoked tempered glass for my 2-29 ran about $250/each back in 2006. --- In Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com, "jimroddds" <brokerjim@...> wrote: > > 1971 Cal 39 Hull #8 aft fixed aluminum portlight frames need replacement what have others done for the early 39's or for any 39's for that matter >
