"Pentaquod" was bought by a college kid who took it south (NC?) and flipped it. Don't know who has her now.

Wow! He flipped your boat?
You mean, like, he took your boat and did a back one and one half somersault with a half twist, degree of difficulty 1.6? That sounds scary. At least you weren't on board for that.
We had a race last nite, and when I raised my mainsail to get it ready for reefing at the dock, the wind wanted to shake the sail off the mast. Heck, the wind was shaking the mast even before I raised the sail. After careful consideration I called the race committee and abandoned the race. At this age I have nothing to prove, and I know what can happen. Eric, me crew, was listening to the weather, and Los Angeles International, just south of the marina, was reporting 30 knots gusting to 35. Four boats went out and raced around the harbor, inside course, two circuits. At least they had enuff sense not to take their boats outside the breakwater.
