Thanks so much, Joe. I had not thought of the weld option. That could be cheaper than the price of a Westerbeke part. Do you know if the W21 matches up to a Mitsubishi block number? There seem to be a lot of 3 cyl Mitsubishi engines out there in old tractors and lawn equipment, from what I can find. There could be some "new old stock" floating around. (I'm also interested to see more than a few used Westerbeke and Mitsubishi engines available on eBay and elsewhere, "needs a new oil pan." Apparently, we are not alone. <g> Alfred Poor 1973 Tartan 34C #288 "Jambalaya" Now for the bad news - The W21 is an orphan. Mitsubishi built it for about 5 years, then discontinued it. They no longer support this engine. I don't know if Westerbeke supports it, but if they have any parts, you will pay dearly for them. You may have to talk to a sheet metal welder / fabricator to make you an oil pan. If the upper half of the pan is OK, a welder can make the lower half. *Joe DeMers - owner* Sound Marine Diesel LLC SoundMarineDiesel.com <http://www.soundmarinediesel.com/> *phone & fax (860) 666-2184*
