Universal 5432 in my Cal 35 Mk II

Hi Folks~ We sail our 1984 Cal 35 MK II with a Universal 5432. It's an old Kubota tractor motor and finding parts can sometimes be a bit quirky. I recently had the bottom few inches break off our dipstick. I looked in the manual and online and found the part. Ordered it and it's way too short. It's also metal. Mine is plastic and about 2 ft. Long. I can't find anyone or anything online except other folks looking for the same dipstick. Anybody here have the 5432 with a long dipstick? I'd love to hear from you. I'm considering just buying an automotive one and making the marks but I need someone to take the measurements... Any help is appreciated. Thanks so much Chris s/v Vacilando www.mondovacilando.com
