Hi everybody and Randy.
I have restored a 1966 Cal 48 #10 and keep it in Ventura CA. It is a great
old boat and sails well.
I look forward to participating in this group.
Regards
Mark

Mark,
Wow, gorgeous yacht. Did I race against you in the Channel Islands to Marina del Rey race a few years back? I seem to remember seeing your boat seaward of us.
I finally won it that year, after years and years of trying. We had broad reaching conditions up to 30 knots and I had my boat surfing for 200 yard stretches, an unforgettable race. Vic Smith claims that when I caught a gust and went flying passed him half my keel was out of the water.
It sure beat having the wind peter out and die at 10 PM, riding occasional zephyrs, then doing drifting pin wheels two miles of the break water till 3AM...with small groups of dolphins coming by every half hour to laugh their ass off at us.
Jerry, Shpritz, Olde Cal 24 #71
