Reaching Question

Getting prepped for the Governors Cup race down the Chesapeake Bay Fri night. Wind predictions (for what they are worth) are looking like it'll be a close to a beam reach most of the race in light air 5-10kts (not our wind). Will a staysail combined with a 155 give us more speed? Would it be better to use a small .75 oz or smaller 1.5 oz spinnaker with the staysail? We have a reaching strut if needed. We have a Cal 39 with an aluminum toe rail with holes for attaching stuff as needed. We do not have any tracks on the cabin top for smaller sails however. Thanks in advance - Paul West Adventure Kwest
