Trailer Rental?

Hello to the Group, First, I want to haul my boat from Saint Petersburg and move it to my property in southern Alabama so that I can work on it there. Does anyone have a trailer that would carry a Cal 29 that you are willing to rent so that I can do this move? Alternately, does anyone have information about hiring a transport company to move the boat? I have seen many boats that are larger than the Cal 29 hauled on Interstates, but have no clue how to go about hiring someone to do that. I have had my Cal 33-2 hauled on big rigs 4 times since 1993 and each time the hauler did an excellent job. The way I found the people was to go into the office at the haul out yard and ask the guys that run the travel lift who did the best job when boats came into and out of their yard. They would steer me over to a bulletin board with cards posted and give me a couple. No direct recommendation (no business does that nowadays) but it was evident from the cards they did not hand me which they preferred to work with. Each time I got a good driver and a good haul. If I remember right I went to Embree Marine when we hauled out of St. Petersburg and got "recommendations" from them. Good luck! I found a web site call UShip. You enter the from and to locations and shippers bid on the haul. I was very pleased with the guy who shipped my Cal from Oriental to Jacksonville.
