Had a customer with much the problem and the diesel rain good at idle but when it pulled away from the dock it died.It turned out to be a separated liner in the exhaust hose . With no pressure at idle ran but when pressure built enough pressure for the liner to shut the flow oberheat engine and kill it. Just a thought
