Cal-20 Sliding Hatch

mi… [at] wahini.org2013-09-03 13:13 UTC
Hey folks! Does anyone know of someone with a Cal-20 sliding hatch? Mine blew off somewhere on the road between Pensacola and Nevada. If a hatch can't be found, dimensions for a new one I will have to make would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

The dimensions can be calculated right off your boat, probably. And I suspect that the actual fit was done on the factory floor with a grinder or sanding disc. If you find a used hatch, you may have to do some adapting to make it fit properly. Chris Campbell > > >

Chris, I can see you wrote a reply on the message list. It even gives me a sample of what you wrote, but when I click on it, it just repeats what I wrote. I haven't logged into our group in a couple months and this is the first time its gone wonky in a long time. Could you repost? --- In ca… [at] yahoogroups.com, <ccampbell@...> wrote: On 9/3/2013 9:13 AM, mike@... wrote: Hey folks! Does anyone know of someone with a Cal-20 sliding hatch? That's what I figured, but was hoping that I could find one that would fit. I already have some divynicell sheets and fg cloth in case I need to reinvent the wheel. It shouldn't be too difficult but would rather spend the time sailing instead. Shoot, I can sail without it in nv as it doesn't rain much and, when it does, work on a new hatch in the shop. When I get time off to actually be home! Thanks for reposting. Cheers! I'd try contacting Jib Kelly's in San Pedro CA, maybe he knows a local junkyard with one, or he can help you with dimensions. He specializes in rebuilding Cal 20's Jerry From: Mike <mi… [at] wahini.org> To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Sent: Tuesday, September 3, 2013 8:14 AM Subject: Re: [Cal_Boats] RE: Cal-20 Sliding Hatch That's what I figured, but was hoping that I could find one that would fit.
