Cal T-4 for sale
Greetings all!
I hope everyone is enjoying their sailing season, especially the west coasters that are enjoying the America's cup! I think of all the Cal boaters out on the west coast enjoying the year round sailing!
I have a friend that is selling his Cal T-4. I looked at it today and it is in excellent shape. The boat is on the hard, has VC-17 on the bottom, and the gel coat on the hull is in excellent condition. I looked in the interior and it was well taken care of and very neat. He is going to add a couple of winches as to make it easier to single hand. It has an outboard motor, and a very nice steel cradle. Additional goodies is a furler. I did not ask for details about sails, what type or size of the genny. It has always been a fresh water boat.
He is asking $5,495.00 for the boat, but I did not ask him if it was negotiable. If anyone is interested, I would be glad to get detailed information and pass it along. We had a long discussion about Cal Boats and he is very knowledgeable. He also currently sails a S-2, that is in the water and that is for sail as well. He is looking for another sailboat for his cottage in the Adirondacks to sail.
It is the first time I have seen a Cal T-4, in real fiberglass and can appreciate the love that sailors have for them. I also came across a Cal T-2 that needs a little tlc, in which I found while wondering around in a boat yard on a day trip. It was a great way to spend some time!
If anybody is interested, I would be glad to get more detailed information and photos of the boat. Please respond either via email, or call my cell 585-770-0347 (don't be afraid to leave a message), be glad to talk to other Cal boaters!
I've been sailing Kool Beans a lot this summer, and actually went on my first day trip this summer with her. I made many improvements to her this year and looking forward to actually planning a couple of cruises this winter. I might get caught up in a couple of races as well. I got challenged by a Cal 2-27 boater for next years Scotch Bonnet race. He got my competitive blood starting to boil! I hope to write about all the improvements that I've done, the boat is finally coming together!
Please enjoy the rest of summer, and please be safe on and off the water!
