One question I have is how did you conclude he cleaned the next boat over and had to use that ladder and swim past your boat? At my club divers use their own work boats and their "hookah" (?) compressors when they wipe boats. Regardless, the guy performed a service and is owed the money - if you don't like the service, negotiate a fix (maybe a free wipe) or otherwise just never use him again. If you didn't pay him and on top of that have been badmouthing him all around the place, there is a chance that he, or someone else that likes him, or just someone who doesn't like people trashing other people or their business, may have had it in for you. IMy advice it that if you have a beef with someone, keep it between that person and yourself. Going public only pulls more people into the argument and I can guarantee you that not all will see it your way. But that is just the way I see it.

At my club divers use their own work boats and their "hookah" (?) compressors when they wipe boats. I know the owner of the boat down from me (there is one boat between us). I don't know that he used the ladder across the pier from my boat but it is the one most convenient to both our boats and he'd have to swim right by my boat to get to the one he cleaned. He has cleaned my boat before so I know how he works as I have been there. Regardless, the guy performed a service and is owed the money - if you don't like the service, negotiate a fix (maybe a free wipe) or otherwise just never use him again. I don't know that he performed a service as there is no evidence that he did based on the picture I posted. If you didn't pay him and on top of that have been badmouthing him all around the place, there is a chance that he, or someone else that likes him, or just someone who doesn't like people trashing other people or their business, may have had it in for you. I have not mentioned his name to anyone but a few people in my club and have not told anyone about the rope on my shaft. I did show it to the guy whose boat he cleaned that day so that he would see it and know when I pulled it off but did not accuse him of it. IMy advice it that if you have a beef with someone, keep it between that person and yourself. Going public only pulls more people into the argument and I can guarantee you that not all will see it your way. I am keeping it amongst friends at the moment. But that is just the way I see it. Thanks for your input.
