Grae, I put some photos of a tool I made to replace mine in a folder 1980 cal 2-27 apres ski. Hard part was getting the prop off. Bearing was easy. Changed one on another boat this spring with same results. I think the bearing came from defender. Contact me offlist if you want details of how I made it or if you want to ship it back and forth you could use it. I'm in central ny. Does anyone have any recommendations around which bearings to use and whilst I've read a lot about the replacement procedure online, this is my first time doing it so if anyone has any suggestions as to method etc. it would be gratefully received. Thanks and regards, Grae Morrison 1972 Cal-29 #435 'Destiny' Red Bank, NJ

Thanks Bob, That looks a LOT easier than the method I was looking at, which had me removing the rudder and sawing into the bearings, I'll contact you offline about borrowing the tool if I may. Thanks Helen, I'll check out Svendsens for the correct unit. I'll let you guys know how I get on when I pull the boat in the autumn.
